TCS HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME

If u check ur offer letter then u can find some head-throbbing accounts..there is a term like-"TCS Health Insurance Policy"(HIS)...a certain amount will be deducted from ur salary once in a year..and i m sure that ur family members hv already bugged ur head asking u to do dt..i m giving u simplified idea abt wt to do regarding HIS - The premium is deducted only once a year. It will be deducted in the MAY payroll. The cashless facility needs to be availed off at the hospital where u will be admitted. Ur policy number is ur employee number and the swipe ID card that u will get is ur insurance card. Cover is provided as follows: Basic cover of Rs 45,000 is provided. Insurance premium for this is born by TCS (Rs 1400 per year) After this is exhausted u will get an additional cover of 5 Lakh. This is called floater cover. Premium for this is deducted at 3200+tax .. from ur salary.. so in a nutshell,, 1.u need to pay Rs. 3530 per year (which will be deducted from ur salary in May payroll) This ensures higher hospitalization coverage, upto 5 Lakh for u, ur spouse and ur first 2 children. 2.For ur parents, u need to pay rs/- 6622 rs extra per parent. This will be deducted in 4 installments of Rs 1655 each starting from June payroll. 3.so for ur parents,u, ur spouse and ur first 2 children, u need to pay-2*6622 + 3530=rs/-16774 in a year.. the amounts above are inclusive of 10.36% service tax...so this is d final amount.. i suggest you to go for that..because it covers u upto rs 5 lakh expense.

  2. They deduct the premium of the whole year from your final settlement if you resign. Do you have any idea how to get a refund?
